Born in Monmouth County, November 7, 1994. Kyrone's interest in boxing started at the tender age of 8 years old after attending his cousin's boxing match in Newark, NJ. His father, Darone Davis took "Ky", as he is affectionately known by family and friends, to the Red Brick Gym. He trained there under Tim Wilson for 4 years. At the age of 12, he and his family relocated to Delaware, where he continued to pursue his interest in the sport of boxing at the William Hicks Community Center (WHACC) in Wilmington under the late Lou Lum and Doug Pettiford. Currently, Ky splits his training sessions between  Wilmington  and Philadelphia under trainer Steve "Breadman" Edwards.

Although his main focus is his boxing career, he is also very active in other areas as well.  As a public speaker Ky enjoys mentoring the youth.  A former member of the Wilmington Fire Department Explorers Program for Post 100, he has also served as Chaplain for the YMCA Black Achievers Program, and was involved in the YMCA Youth in Government programs.  On a personal level, Ky is a really laid back and down to earth, unlike like his flashy, charismatic in the ring persona.

Kyrone’s ultimate goal is to become one of the greatest pound for pound professional boxers in world.  In April 2014 Kyrone joined the ranks of the most notable Mr. Al Haymon.    Kyrone “Shut It Down” Davis is destined for greatness in the world of boxing.
